Authentic Sound

Gon Bops Cajons are proudly handcrafted by our skilled artisans in Peru. Each Cajon is handcrafted from select indigenous hardwood for studio-quality sound and optimal playability.

Alex Acuna Signature Cajon

Authentically Peruvian! Mohena hardwood construction, meticulously dovetailed corners and pristine lacquer finish all add up to a quality instrument. Partially-sealed front panel design results in louder, tighter bass and plenty of high-end "pop". The matte-finish faceplate is built to Alex's specification. Hand made in Peru, each quality instrument is meticulously tested before it ships, resulting in a superb Cajon that is built to last!

Alex Acuna Special Edition Cajon

Truly a work of art! This beautifully and painstakingly hand-inlayed instrument is also one of the most versatile Cajons on the market. Its deep, resonant bass tone is awe-inspiring. Playing with hands closer to the edges results in multiple levels of "snap" as the minimalist guitar string wires are engaged, resulting in some truly sublime effects. Wires are configured diagonally across the corners for reduced snare sound when playing bass tones. An increased number of adjustable screws also results in greater control over snap and resonance. The seamless finish features Peruvian hardwood dovetailed corners with smoothly rounded joints. And individual multi-coloured wood tiles are arranged into a spectacular wooden mosaic. Hand-crafted and meticulously tested in Peru by our skilled craftsmen!

Mixto Cajon

Blending the Flamenco tradition of Spain with the authentic Folk tradition of Peru, Gon Bops has created a remarkable Cajon that boasts two playable panels. Its unique sideways sound port design allows performers to play either the front or back panel...or both. In addition, the Flamenco side provides guitar string wires while the traditional side does not, for maximum versatility in tone. For bigger, tighter bass response, the traditional side features a partially sealed playing panel. The Flamenco side also maximizes bass response with diagonally placed snare wires for reduced snare buzz, while maintaining plenty of "snap" when playing slap tones. If versatility is what you need, look no further than these two remarkable Cajons in a single box!
