Gon Bops is very proud to welcome Jimmy Paxson to our amazing artist family! Jimmy is a highly influential American drummer known for his versatility and technical proficiency across various musical genres and has collaborated with numerous high-profile artists as a session musician and touring performer.
Currently the touring drummer for Country Music icon Keith Urban, Jimmy has recorded and performed with some of music’s biggest artists including Stevie Nicks, The Chicks (formerly Dixie Chicks), Alanis Morissette, Idina Menzel, Ben Harper, Rod Stewart, Stanley Clarke, Edgar Winter, Ronnie Montrose, Sheryl Crow, Don Henley, and Steve Vai, among many others. Stevie Nicks describes his playing as one where “his sticks dance across the drums…he never lets me down…he’s the best.”
Paxson’s early high-profile exposure included television appearances that showcased his skills to a broader audience, such as performances on the Today Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show with Stevie Nicks in the mid-2000s, as well as a notable slot on The Tonight Show with Ben Harper and Charlie Musselwhite.
Joining The Chicks (formerly The Dixie Chicks) in 2016 for their extensive arena and stadium tours, Jimmy contributed to recordings including the highly popular “ The Chicks MMXVI Live concert DVD. Jimmy is currently featured on Keith Urban’s first full-length live album, “High and A (Live) and is touring worldwide with the country music legend.
