Ali Chavoshi
Ali Chavoshi is a percussionist and artist whose musical journey is defined by a profound fusion of ancestral rhythms and modern international sounds. Born into a prominent artistic family in Tabriz, Iran, Ali was inspired by his father, a renowned Iranian Actor and theater director. He was immersed in the world of creativity from an early age, drawing inspiration from his father’s art.
His technical foundation began with the traditional Azerbaijani Naghara, studying under the Samad Niknafs since 2000. In 2005, Ali shifted his focus toward Latin percussion, embarking on a dedicated pursuit of the Conga, Bongo, and Cajon.
Ali’s commitment to authenticity led him to study under world-class masters. He refined his Cajon technique in the Flamenco tradition under the guidance of the legendary Paquito González, and mastered the intricacies of Conga performance through academic study with the acclaimed Cuban percussionist Jorge Luis Torres.
Throughout his career since 2009, Ali has become a sought-after collaborator across pop, traditional, and fusion genres. He has toured and recorded with an array of renowned international artists, including Alim Qasimov, Shahriyar Imanov, Ebrahim Babayev, Navid Zardi,Halwest mohammad, rahim shahriyari, afshin azari, kamran hooman, parsa khaef and .various stars of the Persian and Middle Eastern music scenes.

His debut solo album, “Falda Roja” (2022), was a landmark release featuring a sophisticated fusion of Latin and Flamenco rhythms. He is currently finalizing his second album, “The Sound of Colors,” a daring project that explores the intersection of electronic textures and acoustic percussion.
