Cristiano Micalizzi
Bio
Cristiano Micalizzi is one of the most respected drummers in Italy today. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in performance from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and is a performer, teacher and author of many successful drum method books. He is active as a freelance performer and clinician, playing in many different styles of music.
He has performed live with Darryl Jones, Bernard Fowler, Tim Ries (The Rolling Stones Project), Frank McComb, Ben Sidran, Dave Binney, Lynley Marthe, Z-Star, Sharlene Hector, Joy Malcom, Deitra Farr, Belinda Skinner, Herbie Goins, Cristal White, Jean Pierre Como, as well as many popular Italian artists such as Stefano Di Battista, Ron, Loredana Bertè, Max Gazzè, Carmen Consoli, Riccardo Cocciante, Gianni Morandi, and many others.
Cristiano has also recorded worldwide for many important labels such as Universal, EMI, Sony, BMG, Virgin, and Polygram in several projects featuring, among others, musicians such as Abraham Laboriel, Carlos Rios, Luis Conte, Tim Pierce, Phil Palmer, Ivan Lins, and Billy Sheehan. Cristiano Micalizzi is also very busy performing on TV shows and recording for movies and commercials.
