Born in Ancona (Italy) in 1977 – Luca Mattioni is one of the most active percussionists in the Italian musical sphere, with decades of experience, specializing in Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian percussion. Present in numerous formations ranging from Latin music to funky soul / disco ’70, passing from soul / jazz to bossa nova etc …

He has been teaching intensively for 20 years, he is the founder in 1999 of one of the first street bands in Italy of Brazilian percussion (afro-pop, sambareggae) called Mao Branca. He has performed over 2000 concerts in Italy and abroad. He has recorded his percussion in more than 30 record projects.
