Alan Denis D’Auria was born in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Colegiales and was influenced from an early age by his father, Oscar D’Auria, a renowned teacher and drummer. He began learning rhythm and musical reading as a child, developing a strong foundation in music. He later studied harmony and composition with Gerardo Gardelín, further enhancing his musical training and beginning to work as a session musician while still in high school.

At the age of 13, he began his professional career at the Hilton Hotel in Buenos Aires, performing in advertising jingles and making his stage debut. Since then, he has performed at major festivals and venues, including the Gran Rex Theater, and has accompanied artists such as José Vélez and Fernando Samartín. He also appeared on television shows, including the popular program hosted by Susana Giménez. As a session drummer, he has collaborated with a variety of artists including Miguel Zavaleta, Boodanny, Mariu Fernández, the Power Up Orchestra, Sol Quintas, and renowned tango singer María Graña.

In 2019, he joined a tango-jazz quartet performing aboard Princess Cruises ships and was later hired by Royal Caribbean as the principal drummer in the Broadway orchestra of the Wonder of the Seas, the largest cruise ship in the world. His international experience includes performances and session work across several countries, taking Argentine music to global audiences.

He was recently selected as an “Endorser Artist” by the prestigious drumhead brand Remo and represented Argentine music at the international NAMM Show in Anaheim, California, one of the most important music industry events in the world.

In addition to his work as a performer, Alan is a member of Etniko, a tango-fusion group that released the single Narices chatas, which blends tango with contemporary African rhythms. He also teaches drums at his father’s music academy, helping to educate and inspire the next generation of musicians.

Looking to the future, Alan aspires to become part of Alejandro Sanz’s band and dreams of one day playing with the legendary American rock band Toto, whose melodic style he greatly admires.

Since 2023, Alan has been based in Los Angeles, where he dedicates most of his time to session work in studios such as Igloo and to live performances with various artists. He is also the creator of Live Session Jam, a jam session that has become a word-of-mouth sensation every Thursday in the Santa Monica neighborhood. His sponsors include HARAM, LUTEFISH, ORUGA, and I3DNUT.

Alan has been featured in prominent media outlets such as Billboard Argentina, Univision USA, and Milenio TV, highlighting his growing impact and international recognition in the music industry.
