With over 40 years of experience as a professional musician, Gadwin Vargas has shared the stage with some of the most renowned artists in jazz, salsa, and ballads. His collaborations include performances with Luis Enrique, Ismael Miranda, Elías Lopés, Cheo Feliciano, Rey Ruiz, Grupo NG2, Domingo Quiñones, LaloRodríguez, Luis “Perico” Ortiz, Plena Libre, La India, Olga Tañón, Paquito D’Rivera, Dave Valentín, Eddie Palmieri, Charlie Sepulveda, Pedro Guzmán, Néstor Torres, Bernie Williams, Humberto Ramírez, Puertorrican Masters, Luva, among many others. He is currently a member of the Bobby Valentín
Orchestra.

His extensive recording career includes contributions to albums by Luis “Perico” Ortiz (Entre Amigos,Tiempos de amar), Juan Luis Guerra (Bachata Rosa, winner of the Grammy Award for Best Latin Album), Rey Ruiz (Destino), Luis Enrique (En Vivo), Humberto Ramírez (Latin Jazz Moods), Domingo Quiñones (La Verdadera Navidad), and Charlie Sepulveda and the Turnaround, with whom he earned four Latin Grammy nominations for Best Latin Jazz Album (The Turnaround, Sepulveda Boulevard, Luquillo Blues, Mr. EP, Camelia Sessions Presents: After Hours, Live at El Terruño, Songs for Nat, UrbaJazz). He has also recorded with Rie Akagi (Caribbean Flutes, Café y azúcar), Jon Secada (To Benny Moré With Love, winner of the Latin Grammy), and Plena Libre (Evolución, Latin Grammy nominee for Best
Traditional Tropical Album, and Corazón). Other notable projects include collaborations with Papo Rosario (former vocalist of El Gran Combo) featuring Isidro Infante, Salsa de la Buena, among others.
